Discovering the producer

The region of Tolima , in the south of the country near Bogota , is renowned for being one of the best coffee producing areas in Colombia, attracting roasters from around the world.

Grown by over 240 families in the NASA indigenous community WE’SX , this land is a protected area where there are more than 6000 trees per hectare and preserved biodiversity.

This has a historical explanation since the region is the place where FARC Guerrilla warfare began and this place was considered for decades by the government as isolated and conflict-ridden, thus escaping land deforestation.

Fortunately, after the peace agreement, coffee was a vector of renewal in the region. This was notably possible thanks to the human scale of the farms and the dedication of the producers and their families, the " profits ", for the maintenance of their traditional know-how.
