All our coffees are 100% origin, meaning that they all come from the same country, the same region, a single plantation and a single variety of coffee. Because we are committed to choosing the very best coffee beans for you, we do not blend several coffees together, so that you can fully immerse yourself in the unique aromas of the origins we have chosen.

Microlot

We only buy the best green beans from each plot, which are grouped together in batches that can be traced back from the cup to the teams of pickers who hand-pick the coffee cherries on the plantations. These are the batches with the fewest defects, the highest quality beans and which scrupulously comply with the international standards of the Specialty Coffee Association, the leading authority in this field. These are also the lots with the highest prices!

organic farming

It’s not complicated, at Cafés du Monde we only offer organically grown coffees. All the plantations are certified Organic Farming according to European standards. What’s more, the vast majority of the plantations chosen use traditional methods and no chemical inputs. Growers prefer to use natural methods to protect their plants and get lower yields but better quality, rather than chemicals that are dangerous for them and their environment.

Torréfaction locale & adaptée

100% of our green beans are roasted in France, by our local network of partner roasters, according to the specific characteristics of each bean (origin of provenance, soil conditions, altitude, variety of coffee). Each of our partner roasters is an expert in speciality coffee, and their knowledge and secrets can reveal the unique flavours of our coffees. We’re very proud of them, and so together we offer coffees that are roasted on demand and can be enjoyed at very short notice.
